Programs and brief descriptions:
  • Add-Venture To Success: Achieving Your Milestones - Surpassing Your Poles
Topic Area: Achieving Success / Inspiration
Achieving success is not just about achieving an end result; it is about the ongoing journey, the experience, the adventure - it is about overcoming the challenges and obstacles along the way - it is about recognizing and celbrating each accomplishment as a template for greater growth and learning. In this keynote, Gareth shows individuals how clear understanding of the goal, a workable plan, achieving milestones, and unwavering commitment allowed them to achieve and surpass their literal and figurative South Poles.
    In this presentation audiences learn:
    • 4 Add-Venture principles for achieving personal and professional success
    • That achieving consistent success depends on applying consistent strategy
    • The importance of focusing on one goal at a time
    • How to gain and sustain momentum
    • To approach their success adventure, One Step at a Time

  • The 900 Factor: Gaining Momentum - Increasing Performance
    Topic Area: Performance/Momentum
The concept of walking 900 miles to the South Pole, with no outside assistance of any kind, seemed at first overwhelming and perhaps even impossible. Too often we set goals and then, with no road map, expect to achieve. Gareth viewed the expedition as a project that required discipline, focus, structure, control and yet flexibility. Every goal needs a starting point, an ending point and points in between to measure progress. Breaking the 900 mile journey into significant milestones they were able to measure progress, manage momentum, celebrate successes and bring learnings forward in order to increase performance. Recognizing and applying this discipline to achieving any goal, Gareth calls - The 900 Factor.
    In this presentation audiences learn:
    • The importance of structure and planning
    • About setting your checkpoints - the milestones
    • About positive measurement and continuous improvement

  • Giving Up To Get Ahead: The Defining Roles of Leadership and Team
    Topic Area: Leadership & Teams
Gareth and his two British companions challenged conventional wisdom and achieved the impossible. Though it was the three men that appeared in photographs around the world, their success depended on a cast of hundreds. Although one man's dream, they understood success was dependent on mobilizing the talents and skill of others and recognizing that great achievements are not accomplished alone. Reaching the Pole was the result of effective leadership and empowered people working collaboratively toward a common vision.
    In this presentation audiences learn:
    • The importance of shared vision
    • How to mobilize the talents and skills of others
    • The 3 Cs for team success
    • The 4 roles of leadership
